Reporting a bug
Where the bug button is, what rides along with a report, and what comes back.
Last updated 4 October 2026

Something broke, and the fastest way to get it fixed is to say so from the screen it broke on. The report takes its own snapshot of where you were, so half of what we need is attached before you write a word.
The beta note
When you first enter the app, a note from the Nomi team explains what to expect during beta and where to report problems. Press I understand to save your confirmation to your account, including on other devices. Closing the note without confirming dismisses it for that visit; it may return when you reload or come back.
Where the button is
Report a bug is a bug icon in the rail, just above your avatar at the foot, and it opens the report straight away rather than hiding it inside the account menu. The moment the app misbehaves is the worst moment to hunt through a menu.
On a phone, press Show sidebar at the top left first: the rail and the sidebar open together.
It is also one of the commands in search, so you can get there from the keyboard without leaving what you were doing.
Public feedback and private support
The community's Give feedback form publishes an idea or bug report for other people to read, discuss and vote on. Your account name and avatar appear with it. Choose Contact support for account problems or private brand information; that opens the app's private report form.
You can browse Feedback, Roadmap, Updates and Guide without signing in. Voting, following and posting require your Nomi account. A draft stays in the same browser tab while you sign in, and you still choose when to publish it.
What to write
One field, and plain words are enough: what you expected, and what happened instead. Up to 4,000 characters.
A screenshot helps more than any description. Three ways to attach one: press the paperclip under the field, drag the file onto the dialog, or paste it from the clipboard. One file per report, an image or a video.
Images are shrunk on the way out, so an ordinary screenshot goes through. Anything still over 4 MB is refused while the file is under your cursor, not after you have written the report. Video is sent as it is, so a long recording will be too heavy.
What goes with it
You do not have to say which page you were on or which browser you use. When you press Send report, the report also carries the page you were on, the size of your window, your browser, and the last few errors the app threw behind the scenes.
The snapshot is taken when you send, not when you open the dialog, so it describes the moment you filed.
What happens next
The form is replaced by a confirmation, so there is no guessing about whether it left.
You then get a notification when the report is picked up, and another when it is fixed. Both arrive under Notifications in the account menu, with a dot on your avatar until you read them. If we decide not to change something, you get a note saying so rather than silence.
