Apps
Connect your own tools over MCP, so Nomi can read from them and, when you allow it, act in them.

An app is one of your own tools that Nomi can use during a session: your store, your email platform, your notes. Any tool that offers an MCP address can be connected, and Nomi then calls it the way it searches the web or reads your brand. Apps are being rolled out by hand, so Apps only appears once they are switched on for your account.
Connect one
Open Agent in the rail and pick Apps under New task in its sidebar, or pick Apps in the account menu, which is your avatar at the foot of the rail. The day apps are switched on for you, a popup says so, and its Connect an app opens the same page.
The page lists the apps Nomi uses in the brand you are in, and the line under the title names it: the brand's own apps, your own and those added for every brand. Another brand's apps are on that brand's page, and a teammate's own are theirs. Browse apps and Add app sit at the top right for anyone who works in the brand. The list has a tab for All apps, one named after the brand you are in, one for Only you and one for Every brand, and a search beside them; on a phone the tabs scroll sideways. Each row says who it is for, what it is waiting for or how many of its tools are on, and who added it, for example Every brand · 3 of 3 tools on · added by Gal. Each row you may change has a switch that turns the whole app off and back on: switching it on brings back exactly the tools that were on before. The pencil opens Manage.
The quickest way is Browse apps: a list of 22 apps Nomi can sign in to by itself, grouped by what they are for (store and payments, email and SMS, analytics and ads, design and content, documents and files, team work, customers), with a search. For, under the title, says who you are adding for: Only you, Everyone in the brand you are in, which it starts on when you may add for it, or Every brand. The search and Connect an app sit at the top right. Apps you have already added come first, under Added, each with what it still needs, for example Connect; the rest follow by group in two columns. Press Add beside an app. Most then say Needs authentication; press Connect on the same row to approve Nomi on the app's own page. An app the brand already has reads Added. The arrow beside Browse apps at the top takes you back to your apps.
Two brands with their own store, each on its own account, add the same app once per brand, each from its own page: add and connect it in the first brand, switch to the second and do it again, signing in to the other account. Each brand then uses only its own.
For any other app, press Add app and fill in two things.
- Address. The app's MCP address, from its own settings or its docs. It has to start with `https://`.
- For. Only you, everyone in the brand you are in, or every brand in the company.
Nomi then asks the app what it can do and lists it. You never pick how an app signs in: when it wants one, its row says Needs authentication and offers Connect, which opens the app's own page to approve Nomi, or asks for a key when the app takes one. Nomi keeps a key sealed and never shows it again. Who may add an app depends on who it is for. Anyone who works in the brand adds one for themselves: Nomi calls it only when they are the one asking, signed in as them, and nobody else sees it. An admin of the brand, or an owner or admin of the company, adds one for everyone in the brand: Nomi calls it for everyone, signed in as whoever connected it. An owner or admin of the company adds one for every brand. Whoever may add an app of that kind may also change or remove it; nobody else can change someone's own app.
Choose what it may do
Press the pencil on an app to see its tools. Each one is Needs approval (Nomi asks you before each call), Always allow or Off. Every tool that is not off travels with every message, so fewer tools make each message cheaper, and at most 20 can be on across the company. Nomi treats a tool the app does not mark as read-only as one that changes things, says so on its line, and starts it on Needs approval.
Disconnect at the foot of the dialog removes the app. Every app has the pencil, also one still waiting for you to connect it. What it already answered stays in the sessions where it answered.
In a session
When Nomi uses an app, the row in the session shows the app's icon and names it: Used Shopify · Get orders. Several calls to the same app fold into one line you can open.
A tool that changes something asks before it runs. Nomi stops and asks, in a card above the message field, showing exactly what it would send. Allow runs that and nothing else, Don't leaves the app untouched, and either way Nomi carries on from your answer. All fields in the card's corner shows everything the call would send. On an app that is only yours, only you can answer. To stop the asking for one tool, whoever may change the app sets it to Always allow under the pencil.
Nomi reads what an app sends back as information and does not follow instructions in it. One message can call apps at most 12 times.
When an app stops answering
If an app's sign-in expires, its row in Apps says Needs authentication again and offers Connect. If it does not answer, the row says why and offers Try again. Until then Nomi cannot use it, and a session that tried says so on the row: Tried Notion.
