General, Branding and Audience
The three brand pages field by field, and which ones change the ads.
Last updated 4 October 2026

Brand in the rail has four rows in its sidebar, and three of them are what Nomi knows about you: General is the business, Branding is the look, Audience is who you sell to. The fourth, Agent memory, is what Nomi learns as you work. Every field is optional, and an empty one is not a gap Nomi fills with a guess: it is told to ask for what it cannot find.
How a field behaves
Every field saves the moment you click away from it, so there is no Save button on these pages. Editing the brand or its audience requires an admin role. If access changes while the page is open, the next save is refused and shows an error.
A value Nomi drafted for you is simply in the field, and nothing asks you to confirm it. Editing one makes the answer yours, and a later reading of your site never overwrites an answer you wrote. A pill at the foot counts what is still empty, and Fill next jumps to the first one.
General
The page starts with your logo, your brand's name and what the business does in a sentence under them: press the logo to change it, and press the sentence to edit it. Three blocks follow, each field a row you press to open: The business (Name, Positioning), The offer (Value propositions, Offers, Key competitors, Pricing logic) and Voice and rules (Tone of voice, Prohibited claims). The pill counts the eight fields plus the logo, and Fill next opens the row it is pointing at.
Key competitors is a picker rather than a text box: it searches the brands Radar already knows, so naming a competitor here is also picking one you can go and watch.
The last block deletes the brand, and it shows only when you have a second brand to land in: chats, creatives, products and personas go with it, and there is no undo.
If a logo upload fails, its temporary preview clears and the saved logo stays. The message under the logo explains the failure; choose the file again to retry. Wait for an upload to finish before choosing another file.
Branding
Branding starts with the look: General look, the sentence about how your ads should look, and the Colour palette, whose row shows your colours as dots (each colour can carry a role, so the renderer is not left guessing which one is the button), then a sample of each type over the words that describe it. Instagram and reference ads follows: your Instagram handle, and the ads you have run with the posts Nomi kept from your feed; Read the look reads them all, the feed first while it has not been read. Details folds the finer rules into rows: button style, corner radius, logo placement, photography direction, composition preferences and forbidden visual styles.
Headline type and Body type take descriptions rather than font names: a render draws type, it does not embed a typeface.
Which ones change the picture
Seven reach the engine that draws: General look, Colour palette, Headline type, Body type, Button style, Corner radius and Forbidden visual styles. They colour in a scene rather than choose one, so they never override what a prompt says is in the frame.
Photography direction, Composition preferences and Logo placement do not reach the drawing at all. They reach the conversation, where Nomi uses them to decide what to propose.
That is on purpose and it is not a gap. The scene belongs to the format an ad is built in, so a standing instruction about how everything should be shot would make every format come out as the same studio photograph.
Audience
The personas are one column of cards, each folded to its name: press a name to open its fields. Press Add persona and type who they are; the persona is created when you save the name. Each holds Who they are, Angles, Objections, Pains, Desires, Emotional drivers, Where they enter, Sophistication, Their words and Necessary beliefs, and the menu on a card renames, duplicates or deletes it.
The names and the descriptions travel with Nomi into every session. The angles are what it sets against the market when you ask what you are missing.
Who they are, and who they are not
A persona is one person, not a group. "Women 25 to 45" describes nobody, and an ad written at it reads like an ad. "The label reader who has already tried three brands and assumes this one is the cheap kind too" is somebody, and the test is whether the next sentence about them could be wrong.
Nomi drafts them rather than leaving you a blank page, and it draws them from what buyers wrote: your own pages, and reviews, forums and comment threads where people say what put them off. Each field carries the page it came from, so you can check any of it. Where it cannot establish something it leaves the field empty rather than filling it in.
This list is the brand. A product has its own
The personas here are who the business sells to, and they reach Nomi in every session. A product has Personas of its own, under it in the Products sidebar, holding the smaller set of these people who buy that one thing, up to five of them, and each one can say which of the brand personas it narrows. Nomi reaches for a product's audience when it is working on that product and for this list otherwise.
Every ad it makes is written at one of them and records which, because an ad addressed to all five reaches none of them.
A product persona that names the brand persona it narrows does not have to repeat what that person already is. Say only what is different about them here, and the rest is filled in from the brand row when Nomi reads it. Change the brand row later and every product persona narrowing it changes too, except in the fields they answered for themselves.
